But if a full-sized festive feast feels a bit much at lunchtime, we’ve got something new for you.
Our Christmas Treat menu at The Boars Head is designed for smaller appetites, with smaller portions and a smaller price. Enjoy three festive courses for £19 per person, available for groups of 12 or more.
Perfect for a Christmas lunch near Ashbourne or Uttoxeter with your friends, colleagues or local club.
A Little Less on the Plate, Plenty to Enjoy
Sometimes you fancy all three courses, just in more manageable portions.
That’s the idea behind our Christmas Treat menu. You can enjoy a starter, a proper festive main and something sweet to finish, without feeling you’ve taken on a Christmas Day-sized challenge.
It’s a lovely choice for a leisurely weekday lunch, especially if your group prefers a lighter meal but still wants all those familiar Christmas flavours.
And at £19 per person, organising a festive get-together is a little easier on the budget too.
What’s on the Christmas Treat Menu?
Start with honey-roasted parsnip soup, served with parsnip crisps and rustic bread, or a refreshing melon and fruit platter with sorbet.
Then comes the Christmas favourite: roast turkey breast with rosemary roast potatoes, mash, winter greens, roasted vegetables, herb stuffing, a pig in blanket and roast gravy.
There’s also a nut roast, served with roast potatoes, mash, winter greens, roasted vegetables and gravy.
Smaller portions certainly don’t mean missing out on the festive favourites.
For dessert, choose traditional Christmas pudding with brandy sauce or lemon posset with Christmas shortbread.
Because finding room for pudding is much easier when the meal is made for a smaller appetite!
