This year the Early May Bank Holiday falls on Monday 1st May and what better way to enjoy the day off than by visiting one of the most popular pubs in Belper, The Lion! As the latest addition to the Crooks family, we have lovingly renovated the bar area to create a space which is trendy, friendly, and very welcoming. Our main priority has been ensuring that the hotel retains its charm and character as an 18th-century building and we feel that we have achieved exactly this. We have a fantastic range of food menus to offer you…To give you that extra bit of #MondayMotivation to tackle the rest of the 4-day week, we’ve got a night of free live music lined up from the hugely talented Easy Thomas Blues Band. In addition to this, we will also be serving our Gastro bar menu from 12.00pm until 9.00pm and you can also try one of our popular stonebaked pizzas from our authentic pizza oven from 12.00pm – 3.00pm and again from 5.00pm – 9.00pm.
Alternately, if you simply fancy a relaxing drink in the afternoon, our bar opens at 11.00am and we have a huge range of drinks to choose from including specialist wines and ales, ciders, spirits, and soft drinks for children. The Lion is also dog-friendly and we have a beautiful garden area where you and the kids can make the most of the beautiful weather.
