Christmas might seem a very long way off from the height of a July heatwave, but we have a very popular collection of festive menus and occasions for you to enjoy. Whether you are celebrating with colleagues, family or friends you have the chance to book your places early to get the date and sitting you want and avoid disappointment.
The Boars Head Hotel is one of the most popular restaurants near Staffordshire. We like to create delicious menus from the finest festive ingredients. All of this is wrapped up in warm and welcoming dining experiences throughout December.

The Boars Head is one of the hotels in Derbyshire which is famed for its Christmas hospitality.
Start the day with a three course Festive Breakfast and a glass of champagne served 8.30-11am during Christmas week.
A great way to get into the yuletide mood, we have two Christmas Fayre menus; a special Christmas Fayre Lunch selection and a tasty Christmas Fayre Evening choice of dishes, both served from 30th November. Perfect for celebrating the season with groups of family, friends, clubs and co-workers.
Sunday has always been a great day for sharing the weekend’s main meal with family and friends. At this time of year, we like to sprinkle a little seasonal sparkle over our Festive Sunday’s with three scrumptious courses adapted for the season.
Our Christmas Eve menu is made extra special with a live performance by a brass band in the evening. What could be better than wonderful food and traditional tunes from a brass band to make you feel “Christmassy” inside.
Christmas Day, the big day, is always special at the Boars Head Hotel! Choose from four Starter dishes, followed by a Fish Course, Sorbet and a Main Menu packed with traditional flavours of either Butter Roasted Turkey Breast, Roast Sirloin of Beef, Pan Seared Hake, or Caramelised Onion & Roasted Vegetable Tarte Tatin. All of this is finished with a choice from our Christmas Pudding Menu or The Boar’s Head Cheese Table.
The festivities continue during Boxing Day with our three course lunch and evening sitting. The evening is accompanied by a live performer for your entertainment afterwards.
