Well Christmas 2018 has been and gone and we have to admit, it was definitely one our favourites to date here at The Boars Head Hotel! We enjoyed it so much that we’re already planning ahead for Christmas 2019… In fact, it may be early days for some but we’ve already put together a special four day Christmas break which is available for booking now. Our Christmas Breaks are perfect for everyone, with four days packed full of seasonal activities, food, drink and celebrations.
The Boars Head is the ideal setting for your festivities as you can relax in front of a roaring fire, enjoy traditional festive food and drink, and make merry memories with those close to you. With a warm and welcoming ambience, seasonal decorations and a magical Christmas tree, we’ll make you feel right at home.
Itinerary for our Christmas Breaks
Christmas Eve
The Christmas festivities begin with a meal in the Royal Boar restaurant with an accompanying local brass band who will be playing a selection of Christmas classics. After dinner, you can unwind in our fully furnished bar. Make your way through our extensive list of alcoholic and soft drinks including draught and bottled beers, a selection of wines, spirits and an exciting cocktail menu.
If you’d like to attend midnight mass, there is also a local church just a short 5-minute drive away. (Ask a member of staff for details)
Christmas Day
To start the day off, we’ll be serving a hearty breakfast but make sure that you leave enough room for the 7-course meal that is served from 12 pm in the Royal Boar restaurant! After you can take the rest of the day to do as you like, relaxing with newly made friends or family around an open fire or whilst exploring our stunning grounds. To round the day off we’ll be serving a Christmas buffet for supper form 7:30pm.
Boxing Day
After the big day, you’ll be invited to join us for another hearty breakfast cooked exactly to your liking. After a morning of relaxation, we’ll serve up your Boxing day lunch and provide live music whilst you wine and dine.
On the 27th it will sadly be time to say goodbye, not before another breakfast prior to your journey home though, giving you a chance to reflect on what we hope was a memorable Christmas. We’ll save your spot in front of our fire for next year!
