That’s right, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is back on Friday 27th September 2019. And who are we to say no to a cup of coffee and a delicious cake? It is for charity after all!
Join Us For Cake & A Cuppa
The Macmillan Coffee Morning has been around for quite some time. In fact, the first one happened 29 years ago! But, since then, the idea of the Coffee Morning has caught on. And over the years it has raised over £200 million for charity!!
Here at the Boar’s Head Hotel in Derbyshire, we love doing our bit for charity and other worthy causes. So, we couldn’t resist getting involved with a Coffee Morning of our very own.
Please join us from 9:30am-12pm at The Boar’s Head Hotel for a morning filled with delicious cakes, warming cups of tea and coffee, and a good old chat. We will also have stalls set up in the hotel offering a range of goods to buy. Of course, all proceeds go to the Macmillan Cancer Support charity – so be sure to bring some pennies along with you!

The charity was founded in 1911 by Douglas Macmillan as the Society for the Prevention and Relief of Cancer following the death of his father. The core values of the society was to provide advice and information, support and nursing services to people with cancer at low or no cost. Since then, the charity has evolved and progressed to become what it is today, and they continue to honour Douglas’s legacy through the support they provide to those with cancer and their families.
