Our Style
Our stunning 17th-century building has been modernised in all the right places. Aka, the bedrooms. Each of our 23 luxury rooms has been fully equipped with an ensuite bathroom that features both a bath and a shower, the ultimate in relaxation. A TV complete with Sky, for when you want that home-from-home experience. Every bed in our hotel has one of the most luxurious mattresses you will find in any hotel nearby. Trust us, we’ve tested them out.
A Weekend Away
If it’s a weekend away you are looking for, you are in for a right treat here at The Boars Head Hotel in Derbyshire. Find the right weekend and Friday night will be a right delight. We regularly have live music on a Friday, with the next up being the return of Sophie Sax. A firm favourite with regulars and first-time guests alike, you can enjoy her sax take on classics and modern tracks. Friday nights also see some great drink offers! Can we get a celebration for the £15 prosecco? Or are you more for the double Gordons and lemonade? If you are staying right through to Sunday afternoon, you’ll definitely want to tuck into our famous non-carvery carvery! We did away with the old carvery, and opted for a freshly cooked, and delivered to your table still hot Sunday lunch. It has all the trimmings of a carvery, but there’s no need to get up, no questioning how long it’s been sat there, everything is perfectly fresh!

Of course, keeping yourself busy is key for many staycationers! So, as one of the best hotels near Alton Towers, we’ll definitely be recommending that thrill seekers take themselves off to the well-known theme park for the day.
