It’s not difficult to see why it’s a summer favourite. However, we love afternoon tea. So we think it should be enjoyed all year round. Like now, as we head into autumn!

As you sit in our bar area, looking out of the window at the rain and the falling leaves, why not transport yourself back to summer? So, if tucking into a fresh scone with homemade preserves reminds you of sitting on the Cornish coast in the middle of summer, what better time to tuck in! Sometimes it’s all about the tastes that you are enjoying, rather than the time of year, or even the place!
Puddles
When there are puddles on the floor, for most, they run inside to the gravy. Whether it’s on a hearty roast, coating your bangers and mash, or coating your hearty homemade pie. We understand. And you will find us doing that too. But take a step back and consider a sandwich or two… or three. Our afternoon tea is served with a fabulous selection of sandwiches served on white and wholemeal bread including Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese, Honey-roast Ham & Tomato, Beef & Horseradish and Egg & Cress.
Pumpkin Patches
This time of year, we find pumpkin patches advertising their pick-your-own. Pumpkin patches that many of us don’t realise are there throughout the rest of the year. And with pumpkin pie storming into the UK more and more each year, why not take the time to visit one and pick your own? Make sure that you go and pick your pumpkin nice and early so that you can join us for your afternoon tea straight after. If you have been out in the cool autumnal breeze, tucking into our speciality teas and coffee is the perfect warmer.
