We’d like to wish all of our friends and customers a very Happy Easter from everyone at The Boar’s Head Hotel & Restaurant. While we would have very much loved to be serving you up a hearty Easter Sunday lunch and celebrating the bank holiday weekend with you, we hope you are keeping safe and well at home during these strange, unprecedented times.
We understand that things are incredibly difficult for a lot of people right now. Yet, it seems, in all corners of our communities we are finding novel and creative ways to support one another and adapt to something that none of us has ever had to experience before.
With that, whether you are a key worker, NHS staff, support worker, care worker or a member of the emergency services, we are incredibly grateful for your hard work, dedication and commitment.
Finding Positivity In Challenging Times
As you will know, in light of the lockdown announcement from the Prime Minister, we took the very difficult decision to close our doors and cease our takeaway offering for the time being. We would have liked to continue to serve, in any way we could, but we had to balance that with the safety of our staff and customers.
As a family-run business, we feel a great responsibility to ensure the health and safety of everyone we come in contact with in the course of our business. Therefore, we felt it was safest to shut up shop for now. However, we are feeling incredibly positive about the future. We have received a huge amount of support and for that, we will always be grateful.
When we finally emerge from this difficult situation, and as we start to adjust to the ‘new normal’ we find ourselves in, we can’t wait to welcome you to the Boars Head Hotel again in the future.
Supporting Local Business
The impacts of this pandemic are far-reaching and varied. We understand that not everyone has the disposable income at the moment to buy gift cards or vouchers in support of the local businesses they know and love, no matter how much they want to.
With that in mind, we don’t want to put any pressure on our customers to do so. However, we would ask a small favour of you if you can spare the time. Reviews are incredibly important to us as a business. They help shine a light on the fabulous work our team does, and they provide us with feedback to grow as a business and continue to meet the needs of our customers.
