We know that it’s summer. In fact, we’re well aware as we swelter in this heat currently. But now is the perfect time to get ahead and start planning what you’re going to be doing at Christmas this year, when the weather’s a bit cooler but the festivities are sure to warm you up.
Christmas is a time of friendship, family and hospitality, and whilst it might only be July – there’s only 22 weeks until Christmas Day.
What’s on Offer Around Christmas at our Restaurants in Derbyshire
We can offer a wonderful stay at The Boars Head around the Christmas period, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and the 27th of December.
Your break would begin on Christmas Eve, with a meal in our Royal Boar Restaurant – accompanied by a local brass brand.
On Christmas Day, you’ll be starting the day with a hearty breakfast, before a traditional SEVEN course lunch served from 12pm. Once you’ve enjoyed that, you’ll be able to relax around the open fire before a Christmas buffet supper is served at around 7.30pm.
On Boxing Day, you’ll be able to start your post-Christmas Day festivities off with another delicious breakfast, before having dinner served in the Royal Boar Restaurant accompanied by live music.
Your final day, the 27th of December, would start off with another tasty breakfast before your departure.
Our Christmas Day offering includes starters such as roast potato skin soup with garlic crisps and truffle oil, and cantaloupe melon with clementine pureé, blood orange jelly and a cinnamon syrup – both of which are gluten free. Other options include a Fried Duck Egg with watercress, black pudding, brioche croutons and a wholegrain mustard dressing or a smoked ham hock ravioli with truffled potato and celeriac puree, accompanied by a smoked ham hock ravioli.
Main options include hand carved roast turkey, duck breast, cod or a Linolnshire Poacher souffle.
How to Secure Your Christmas at our Restaurants in Derbyshire
The Prices for our 3 night stay over Christmas at our Restaurants in Derbyshire are £630 for a double occupancy or £400 for a single occupancy. Depending on availability, you can extend your stay either side of Christmas for £50 a night.
