Spending Valentine’s 2022 With Your Loved One

Spending Valentine’s 2022 With Your Loved One

Valentines Day is here again. Another day where we can show our loved ones just how much we love them, not just today, but every day of the year. And what better way to say “I Love You” than with a fabulous feast, or even a night away in a luxurious room?

Starting The Right Way

There’s no better way to start your date night than by treating yourselves to a glass of fizz, or even your favourite cocktail while you peruse the menu. Our variety of wines and fizz range from our classic house wines, right the way through full-bodied and premium wines, to classic prosecco to our finest cellar reserves. Take a look through our full wine menu for the details. Our cocktail list has a variety of classics, alongside some soft tails for those who aren’t drinking tonight. Take a look at our cocktail menu for more information.

Sharing Specials

The theme for our menu this year is sharing! That means that everything we have included in our menu is designed to be shared. From sharing starters to sharing puddings, our sumptuous selection is perfect for couples dining with us. To start, we have everyone’s favourite cheese – baked camembert, with fresh crusty bread for dipping. Or a prawn pi pil for two, complete with crusty bread. Or even a Charcuterie deli board to share.

Moving onto your mains, we have four sets of mains, so you can find the perfect share for you. For meat lovers, we have the 20oz Ribeye sharer complete with mushrooms, caramelised onion fritter, cherry tomatoes, twice-cooked chips and both peppercorn and Diane sauces. Or the full meat feast honey BBQ rack of ribs, cajun spiced chicken wings, pulled pork quesadilla, meatballs in oregano sauce & parmesan shavings, toasted croutes, red onion fritter, onion rings, corn on the cob, wedges and a selection of dip.

For the fish lovers, we have the fish platter – cajun salmon, pan-seared seabass, battered goujons, tempered tiger prawns, smoked haddock arancini balls, shell-on king prawns, piped champ potatoes, buttered green vegetables, roasted cherry tomatoes and basil hollandaise. We also have a splendid vegetarian option including – caramelised onion tart tatin, carrot & thyme puree, tempura broccoli & cauliflower, parsnip crisps, roast vine tomatoes, patas bravas and tomato & basil salsa.

To finish, it would be rude not to indulge in a sharing pudding! The pudding platter offers a selection of mini puds, including classic vanilla cheesecake, chocolate & orange brownie, blueberry pannacotta, orange Viennese biscuit, tulle biscuit and vanilla ice cream. You may be more interested in the super sweet pudding yakitori – Mega marshmallows, strawberries, cookie dough, chocolate brownie, ice cream and pouring chocolate.

However, if you’re starting to feel a bit full, or hot under the collar, cool yourself down with our sharing ice cream sundae – strawberry ice cream, fresh strawberries, berry sauce, meringue pieces and piped Italian meringue.

It Doesn’t Have To End There

Your night with us doesn’t have to end with your puddings. Why not make a whole night of it and get booked into one of our luxury en-suite rooms and stay the night. Our rooms offer both a bath and a shower, the perfect way to relax both before and after your meal, so why not take yourself a bottle of wine to your room to enjoy after you leave our dining room? With limited availability, it’s certainly worth getting booked in today!

If you are looking to spend a romantic evening with your loved one in a gastropub in Sudbury, or a fabulous hotel in Derbyshire, look no further than the Boars Head Hotel. Our wonderful team will help to treat you like royalty throughout your visit to us, making this valentines day one to remember. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
