Springtime Feasts, Gastropub in Sudbury

Springtime Feasts, Gastropub in Sudbury

This spring, why not treat yourself and your family to some amazing feats in the best gastropub in Sudbury! Join us here at The Boars Head for incredible warmers on cool days, and springtime treats on those milder days.

Springtime

Spring weather can be somewhat unpredictable, with early mornings still bearing frost, and by early afternoon it’s t-shirt weather where you can sit out in the sun. This means that your favourite gastropub in Sudbury needs to be ready to accommodate the weather! Our outdoor dining area is ready to be taken advantage of, even in the slightest warm spell! You could even pop a coat on and enjoy being outside for a while. Meanwhile inside, we are still ensuring that the warmth is just as comfortable as it has been all winter. Ready for wherever you want to sit.

Those Cold Mornings

Here in Sudbury, there’s nothing better on a cold morning than a nice hot cooked breakfast. Our Royal Boar Breakfast includes all the wonderful trimmings of a full English breakfast, from award-winning sausages and bacon to your choice of eggs and even nice fluffy toast made using fresh bread. For Vegetarians, we still have all the trimmings, swapped for vegetarian options, equally as delicious! Don’t worry if a full English isn’t to your taste, our breakfast menu includes a bit of everything, including smoked haddock kedgeree and breakfast baps!

Those Warm Afternoons

When afternoons start to get warmer, we understand that more people will be looking for fewer winter warmers and more towards our locally sourced salads and lighter menu items. Our salad bowls have a great selection of different toppings, from chicken to beef and even breaded ghost cheese. But if salads aren’t for you, take a look at our excellent selection of sandwiches including halloumi and roasted red pepper, or hot roast of the day, served with a pot of gravy. Of course, not all spring days are that warm. So we still have your favourite warmers on the menu, including nut roast and minted lamb shank. Enough to warm up any wet and windy day that’s for sure!

Spring In Derbyshire

Whether you live in Derbyshire, or you are just coming for a visit, you can appreciate how beautiful the area is. Here at The Boars Head Hotel, we are lucky to have a great selection of stunning walks just a short distance from our gastropub Derbyshire. Enjoying the benefits of being close to the Peak District national park, we have some incredible views, even if you don’t want to hop in the car. Just a short distance away is the National Trust Sudbury Hall, with a beautiful building and lake to enjoy all year round.

So why not call in, just for a while, and make the most of the wonderful spring that is surrounding us. Get in touch today if you would like to book a table, or feel free to call in as you pass by. We look forward to welcoming you.
