If you’re looking for a hotel in Derbyshire with a wealth of history and character, then the Boars Head Hotel is for you! Dating back to the 17th century, the hotel was originally part of the Vernon estate and is thought to have been lost in a card game by one of the Vernon family. It’s had many re-incarnations since this point, but came in to the hands of the Crooks family in 1985 and this formed the beginnings of the JC Hotels collection. Since this point we’ve added two modern annexes to the original building and completed a significant refurbishment in 2005. We now have a hotel with 23 beautifully furnished rooms, an a la carte restaurant, a popular carvery, bar and stunning outdoor areas for you to enjoy.
