Staycation Alert!

Staycation Alert!

While the borders are all opening, many of us are still reluctant to board a plane and jet off to another country. And we don’t blame you. Especially not when there are so many stunning sights right here in the UK for you to enjoy. So why not have a staycation with us here at The Boars Head Hotel.

Staycation Special Offer

We might not be as sunny as the coast of Greece, or as exciting as the streets of New York, but what we do have is a great staycation offer for you! Treat yourself to a 4 night stay in one of our luxurious en-suite rooms for the price of 3! This incredible saving means you have more to spend in the bar or indulging in that extra pudding (you know you want to). Included in your stay is a delicious breakfast, home-cooked fresh for you to tuck into. Not to mention a fantastic morning coffee to start your day, the right way.

Things To Do Nearby

Staycations can be action-packed and filled with adventure, or nice and relaxed. Whichever you are looking for, The Boars Head Hotel can act as a luxurious base between adventures, or a place to continue your relaxation on our comfortable beds. For adventure, you can head down the road to the famous Alton Towers where thrill-seekers will find a great selection of rollercoasters and the like. Take a trip on Thirteen, or get thrown around on Rita before plunging down a dark hole on Oblivian. If you’re up for a second day of adrenaline, why not try a spot of snowboarding at the Swadlincote Snow Centre. You can take a lesson, or just head to the slopes. Try not to fall too many times! If you’re looking for something a little more relaxing, we are situated right in the centre of a range of fantastic spas where you can go spend the day or just a couple of hours for a treatment or two. Some of which have fabulous views. Have a search of spas local to Draycott In The Clay for the perfect one for you. You can also head out to some of our local nature reserves, or outdoor walks where you can relax and be at one with nature, such as the stunning views of Dovedale.

Eating With Us

Of course, it’s not all about going out and about. Here at The Boars Head Hotel, we have a great gastro menu for you to delve into. Choose from some succulent favourites such as rump steak, vegetable lasagne and fish and chips. Or try something new like our Japanese Yakatoris or our homemade dirty burgers. You may even want to book yourself in for an Afternoon Tea. Choose from a selection of sandwiches, tickle your taste buds with some fresh cakes, and wash it all down with tea, a coffee, or maybe even a cheeky glass of prosecco.
