Here at The Boars Head hotel in Derbyshire, we love Christmas and the festive time of the year. Each year we host a number of Christmas dinners and menus to mark the most magical of occasions. To some Christmas can be stressful but not to us, it is where we really come into our own, hosting evenings full of great food, flowing drinks and Christmas cheer.
In the lead up to the big day, we’ve created menus for Christmas Fayres at lunch and the evening. These pre-Christmas menus a jam-packed full of festive and season ingredients that get you in the spirit of the season.
When the big day finally arrives that is where we come into our own! This year we’ve put together our best menu yet with something for everyone. There is a choice of four starters including potato skin soup, melon, fried duck or smoked ham hock ravioli. To follow of course it wouldn’t be Christmas without turkey with all the trimmings. However, if you’re in the mood for something a little less traditional we also offer duck breast, cod, twice baked Lincolnshire poacher souffle or hot smoked salmon. Room for more? To finish there is a handful of delicious pudding to choose from including chocolate and orange mousse, praline cheesecake plus many more.
